Blood Moon 2026 LIVE: Rare full moon to be visible in just hours
Reach Daily Express March 03, 2026 06:40 PM

The rare Blood Moon phenomenon will be visible in the sky for some on March 3. Today's rare total lunar eclipse will be the last time people can spot a Blood Moon until New Year's Eve in 2028. However, not everyone in the world will be able to enjoy the lunar show.

Unfortunately for Brits, it will only be visible in North America, East Asia, Australia and New Zealand - where a full moon will coincide with a total lunar eclipse. The UK did get to enjoy the first full Moon of the spring - known as the Worm Moon - on Monday night. It will also appear full on Tuesday night into Wednesday, and with lots of clear skies forecast, it's the perfect opportunity to witness the spectacle.
