News India Live, Digital Desk: After the Election Commission announced the dates for 37 Rajya Sabha seats from 10 states, BJP has approved the names of its candidates. BJP’s Central Election Committee has announced 9 candidates for Bihar, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Odisha and West Bengal. The biggest name in this announcement Nitin Nabin Who took charge as the youngest national president of BJP in January 2026.

1. Bihar: Entry of National President Nitin Nabin (Bihar Nominees)

BJP has fielded two veterans for the vacant seats of Bihar:

Nitin Nabin: Nitin Nabin, who has been a 5-time MLA from Patna’s Bankipur seat and a minister in the Bihar government, will now be active in central politics through the Upper House (Rajya Sabha).

Shivesh Kumar: Bihar BJP’s senior organizational leader Shivesh Kumar has also been given Rajya Sabha ticket. He comes from Sasaram area and is considered a dedicated party worker.

2. Assam: Coordination of tea garden and organization (Assam Candidates)

In Assam, BJP has tried to manage regional equations by choosing two experienced faces:

4. Complete schedule of Rajya Sabha elections 2026 (Election Dates)

According to the Election Commission, the voting process on these seats will be completed by mid-March:

Last date of nomination: 5 March 2026

Scrutiny of nomination: 6 March 2026

Last date of withdrawal of nomination: 9 March 2026

Voting: 16 March 2026 (9 am to 4 pm)

Result: Counting of votes will start from 5 pm on March 16.

5. Equalization of seats and tenure (Vacancies)
