Sharad Suri is the chairman of Chunmun (CNM). He says that Chunmun was started by his mother Satish Suri in the 80s. In the year 1979, his mother had to support the family of three children. For this, he started selling clothes at home, his mother used to go to the wholesale market and buy clothes. And she used to sell clothes from home, then she started the business with an investment of Rs 5,000.

His business started in Lajpatnagar, Delhi. He converted one floor of the house into a store for clothing business. Science graduate Sharad Suri rejected Air India's job offer and joined his mother's business. He joined his mother's business in 1985. And with his hard work and dedication, he turned his mother's small business into a fashion brand worth Rs 300 crore.
