He owns the InterContinental Hotel on Mumbai’s Marine Drive, an iconic property he redeveloped from the former Natraj Hotel into a symbol of luxury hospitality. Ravi Ghai's influence extends far beyond the hotel industry — he has led brands such as Kwality and Brooklyn Creamery and introduced Baskin-Robbins to India and the SAARC region in 1993, bringing international flavours to local consumers.

Ravi Ghai is a graduate of Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration and is known for blending international know-how with Indian business instincts for decades. He is also celebrated for his deep understanding of the market and his work with famous labels and landmarks.

He returned to Mumbai in 1967 and took over the business legacy. He carried forward his father's legacy with Kwality Ice Cream, expanded the reach of the Gaylord restaurant chain, and launched The Brooklyn Creamery to capture a younger, health-conscious market.
