Holi 2026: Face looks red even after removing Holi colors, clean it with these 3 simple steps

The festival of Holi brings with itself many challenges along with happiness. On this day, people play with colors openly, apply gulal to each other and celebrate with full enthusiasm. But sometimes this enthusiasm becomes a cause of trouble later, when even after removing the color, a little color remains. After which the face starts looking red. After playing Holi, people often start washing their face repeatedly with soap or face wash. This may lighten the color, but the red color remains. Which gradually reduces. But it is difficult to clean it immediately.

If you want your face to be as clean as before the day after Holi, then this article is for you. Here we are going to tell you 3 simple steps, which will remove the remaining redness from your face and your face will become completely clean.

Step 1: Start with Oil Cleansing

To remove red color, first apply coconut oil, almond oil or olive oil on dry skin and massage gently for 57 minutes. The oil loosens stubborn color particles and helps separate them from the skin. After massage, gently wipe the face with a soft cloth soaked in lukewarm water and wrung out. With this, the color will start becoming lighter without much rubbing.

Step 2: Deep cleaning with cleanser or gram flour pack

After oil cleansing, wash the face with mild face wash or make a thin paste by adding some milk/rose water to gram flour and apply for 10 minutes. It helps in clearing the color deposited deep in the skin. Keep in mind not to use scrubs or harsh products, as this can increase redness and irritation.

Step 3: Soothe skin with cooling and moisturizing

After removing color, it is important to cool the skin. For this, apply aloe vera gel or cucumber juice on the face and wash it after 10-15 minutes. Finally, hydrate the skin by applying a light moisturizer. If you have to go out, apply sunscreen also. By adopting such a 3-step routine, the red color will gradually disappear completely and the natural glow of the skin will also be maintained.
