Nora was a very popular singer in Kuwait in the 1990s. She had her own band and was especially famous for singing at Arabic weddings. In Arabic culture, the status of the family was determined by which singer was invited to the wedding. So Nora’s schedule was always busy. One night in 1997, Nora was in her hotel room when she received a call from a stranger. He asked her to sing at his daughter’s wedding. Nora initially refused because she was too tired, but the man agreed to pay her 10 to 11 times her regular fee. Seeing such a huge amount, Nora agreed to go.
As planned, some cars arrived to pick up Nora and her team. The cars took them away from the city into the middle of the desert. When the dancing started at the wedding, Nora noticed that 300-400 people were moving at the same time, almost robotically synchronized. It’s as if they all operate with the same brain. In the middle of the night, suddenly all the lights in the palace went off. It was completely dark for a few seconds. When it was light again, a girl from Nora’s team named ‘Salma’ looked down at the ground and screamed. The feet of the dancing people were not human but hooves of a goat. According to Islamic and Middle Eastern folklore, jinn in human form are identified by their feet, as their feet are like those of a buck.
Shivering with fear, Nora and her team rushed outside, leaving their instruments there. The jinn started running after them. Somehow they got into their car and fled from there towards the city. The next day Nora reached the place with the police. But there was no palace, no people. There was only miles of desert. Surprisingly, there were tire marks of their car on the ground, which proved that they had definitely been there. Importantly, the promise given to Nora that she will get 10 to 12 times the money is actually what she got.
