Nain Tara, a leading actress in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam cinema, has purchased a luxury duplex apartment worth Rs31.5 crore in the upscale Poes Garden area.

According to reports, the 42-year-old actress and her husband Vignesh Shivan bought the lavish property in the fashionable neighborhood of Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu.

Information obtained from property registration documents shows that the apartment is located on the fourth and fifth floors of the Legacy Project in the Teynampet area.

The luxury duplex apartment reportedly has a super built-up area of 14,369 square feet, while their undivided share of land measures 5,308 square feet.

Documents indicate that the total purchase price of the property amounts to approximately Rs21,946 per square foot.

Notably, the Poes Garden neighborhood has been home to prominent personalities including veteran South Indian actor Rajinikanth and former J. Jayalalithaa, the late chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
