Do you want to game-share Pokémon Pokopia? Follow the steps inside the guide to know how you can do so. It is a great way of hosting personal sessions with friends. Let’s get you started.

What does it mean to gameshare?

Gamesharing works as the digital version of lending a friend a disc that they can use, without actually having to make a purchase. It just gets about giving someone else access to your digital library so they can play your games on their own console without buying them. The functionality plays by linking accounts or designating a “primary” console, which “tricks” the system into letting two people make one purchase. Yes! Two different accounts won’t even need to make separate purchases. It’s a good money-saver for families or even close friends, though sometimes doing so becomes a little difficult due to the companies’ official reasons.

Steps to gameshare Pokémon Pokopia

If you want to game share Pokémon Pokopia with your friends, then these are the steps that you can follow.

Progress the Story

One thing to remember about it is that you can’t gameshare right away. The host on Switch 2 needs to play for about an hour to finish Professor Tangrowth’s intro quests and unlock Palette Town. This is to begin the entire process, and it is important to fulfill.

Go to the PC

When you have made up your mind, go to Palette Town. After this, just go to the broken Pokémon Center and interact with the PC terminal.

Open the Menu

Select Link Play, then choose Invite Others to Visit. This will allow you to share this with the people you choose.

Activate GameShare

Once you see the menu, pick the GameShare option from the pop-up. You’ll then choose between Local, which is the same room, or Online, which is the GameChat, for Switch 2. You can decide however you feel like.

The Guest Joins

On the second console, which is either Switch 1 or 2, go to the Home Menu and click on the GameShare icon at the bottom of the screen.

Connect & Start

After you have made the choices, select Join GameShare. Here you will be able to find the host’s session, and once you’re linked, the host just needs to click on Start to begin the session.
However, you are advised to keep in mind that the guests are restricted to Palette Town and can’t access the main story or change their character’s appearance. Only the main individual can do so. So, if you are someone who hosts people, you can do so.
