Inevitably, we all forget to buy one crucial thing when the shops close. Don't get caught out this Easter.

The major supermarkets will all have varying opening hours over the period, with different-sized shops resulting in different closing times to remember. But don't let forgetfulness ruin your holiday, here are the opening hours of all the major supermarkets so you can run in for that vital roast ingredient or missing Easteregg.

Lidl

On Good Friday and Holy Saturday, Lidlsupermarkets will be open from 8am to 10pm. All stores will be closed on Easter Sunday. On Easter Monday, shops will be open from 9am to 9pm.

Aldi

On Good Friday and Holy Saturday, Aldi supermarkets will be open from 8am to 9pm. All stores will be closed on Easter Sunday. On Easter Monday, shops will be open from 8am to 8pm

Tesco

On Good Friday, most Tesco stores will be open from 6am to 10pm. Extra and Express stores will keep their normal hours. All stores will be closed on Easter Sunday. Large stores in Scotland will keep normal hours. On Easter Monday, most stores will be open from 8am to 6pm.

Morrisons

On Good Friday, Morrisons stores will be open from 7am to 10pm. All stores will be closed on Easter Sunday, except in Scotland, where they will open as normal. On Easter Monday, most stores will be open from 7am to 8pm.

Sainsbury's has not yet confirmed its opening hours. The Express contacted Asda, The Co-op, and Waitrose to confirm their hours.
