Sometimes the colors of Holi are so deep and strong that they do not come off easily. We adopt various remedies to remove colors from the walls, floors, clothes, skin and hair of the house, but if your gold or silver jewelery has turned black due to the colors of Holi, then it is important to work carefully to clean them so that the shine and surface of the jewelery does not get spoiled. Here we will tell you in detail about some safe methods.
Salt and Lemon Method (For Sleeping)
Cut the lemon in half and sprinkle a little salt. Rub it gently on the jewellery. Wash with lukewarm water after 5–10 minutes. Wipe with dry soft cloth. Note: If the jewelery is studded with stone, do not apply lemon directly on the stone.
White Vinegar and Baking Soda (for Silver)
Mix 1/2 cup white vinegar + 2 teaspoons baking soda in a bowl, dip the jewelery in it for 2–3 minutes. Wash with lukewarm water and wipe with a dry cloth. This method helps in removing blackness and dark spots deposited on silver.

If the jewelry has intricate designs, go for a soft bristle toothbrush. Clean gently with any of the solutions mentioned above. Then wash with water and dry.
