Giving an update on the situation in West Asia and the Gulf region, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Saturday said that between March 1 and 7, 2026, more than 52,000 Indians have returned safely to India from the Gulf countries. Of these, 32,107 have returned through Indian airlines, while the rest have returned through foreign commercial flights and non-scheduled flights. The ministry said that separate options are being explored to evacuate people from areas where there is no air service.
