Sometimes some such incidents happen in a person's life, which change his life. A similar incident is in the news these days in China, which has surprised and made people happy. In fact, a man who was separated from his family in childhood has finally reunited with his father after more than two decades. This emotional meeting took place in Northeast China and marked the end of a long and arduous journey that began when he got lost at a railway station at the age of just 4.
According to the report of South China Morning Post, the name of this person is Zhang Yunpeng, who is now 28 years old. Zhang met his father Zhang Jiucheng after 24 years on March 2 during an event organized in Huainan County, Jilin Province of China. After meeting face to face after many years, both father and son hugged and during this their eyes were filled with tears. During the meeting, Jiucheng said that after more than two decades, he finally got a chance to meet his son. His Chinese language had weakened a bit due to his long stay abroad, but Zhang Yunpeng still told his father that he loved him very much.
Zhang Yunpeng went missing from Shenyang railway station in Liaoning province in 2001. At that time he was only 4 years old. According to reports, his uncle had left him at the station for some time to buy ice cream and then the child went missing. When he was later found, he was sent to a municipal welfare center, where his name was changed to Shen Huaibai.
In the year 2005, a Canadian couple adopted him and he moved with them to Canada. However, the couple divorced after just three months and neither of them expressed any desire to take responsibility for her. Local officials then sent Zhang to live with a homestay family. However, there were already 9 children in that family, so he did not get much attention and care. Zhang Yunpeng says that after completing secondary education, he had to work to support himself.
Last year, after seeing many people's stories of reunion on social media, Zhang decided to find his real parents. For this, he contacted an organization called 'Baby Returning Home', which helps in reuniting people with their biological families. The organization requested Gao Yang, a Chinese PhD student living in Canada, to volunteer to help Zhang. Gao Yang said that when he saw Zhang Yunpeng for the first time, he looked very thin and troubled.
According to reports, Zhang Yunpeng gave his blood sample for a DNA test, which was sent to China's National DNA Database and within a few days, the test confirmed the identity of his biological parents. After seeing his son's photo, Zhang Jiucheng said he recognized him immediately. According to her, he looked exactly like her and she did not need any further confirmation.
Before meeting his son face-to-face, Zhang Jiucheng sent him 10,000 yuan, equivalent to about 1,400 US dollars. He said that he will try his best to bridge the gap of the past years and give the best things of life to his son.
