Fire Limited to Outdoor Material Pile

Zach Hamelton, a spokesperson for public safety, indicated that the fire was primarily contained to an outdoor pile of materials. Fortunately, the flames did not spread to any buildings within the recycling center as crews worked diligently to extinguish the fire.

However, the fire produced significant black smoke visible from various locations near King Highway. Witnesses reported seeing smoke rising prominently above the industrial area, raising concerns among local residents and drivers in the vicinity.
