Suryakumar Yadav and his wife Devisha Shetty recreated a memorable photo from 2024, where they lay on a bed with the T20 World Cup trophy resting between the two of them.
Devisha shared a heartwarming photo of her husband after India won the T20 World Cup for the second time in 2024. She captioned the image with the words "It's going to be a good nights sleep." Suryakumar shared a similar picture nearly two years later, which he captioned as "Déjà vu."

Suryakumar made an incredible catch during the final match at Barbados, which led him to dismiss the dangerous player David Miller during the last over of the game. The Men in Blue achieved their first T20 World Cup victory after Suryakumar led the team as captain in 2026. India also turned into the first team to claim consecutive titles in the tournament. India became the first host nation to reach the T20 World Cup finals throughout the tournament's history.
India maintained their excellent performance throughout the tournament and experienced only one defeat which happened against South Africa during the Super 8 round. The Men in Blue achieved victory when they defeated New Zealand in the final match which took place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday March 8 2026.

After losing the toss India began their batting on a suitable batting surface at the large stadium and reached 255 runs with five wickets remaining. Sanju Samson led the charge with a 46-ball 89, while Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan smashed rapid half-centuries. Shivam Dube contributed an important late performance which helped India reach their winning target against the opponent.
New Zealand was unable to match India's aggressive batting style which they displayed in their match against India. Jasprit Bumrah dominated with the ball and picked up a brilliant four-wicket haul. The Kiwis suffered a crushing defeat when they lost the match by 96 runs after collapsing to 159 runs during the one-sided contest of the night.
