Yung Sammy Interview: There has been another shocking departure from Geo Cinema's most popular and controversial reality show 'The 50'. Indian rapper of Nigerian origin and Young Sammy, who won everyone's hearts with his simplicity, has been eliminated from the show. Sammy's attitude is seen changing as soon as he comes out of the house. In a special conversation with TV9 Hindi Digital, he took on the show's contestant Archana Gautam and also spoke openly about the racist comments made by Haryanvi dancer Sapna Choudhary on her.
Question: SammyYour eviction was quite shocking. Was it right on behalf of Faizu and Rajat Dalal's team to show you the way out?
Sammy's answer: Look, 'The 50' is a game and I completely understand that. At that time the other team i.e. Faizu and Rajat had the power to throw out four people. Their team had to increase their numbers and weaken our team. If I had a chance, I probably would have done the same. There is nothing 'personal' in this. Rajat and Faizu were just playing their game and did what was right for them.

Archana Gautam made a lewd comment about you. He said that you “have come to eat for free.” What was your reaction when you heard this?
Young Sammy: That thing by Archana was very rude and uncalled for. He said, “Take Sammy out, he has come here to eat for free.” I was so angry at that time that I wanted to answer him right then and there. But then I realized that perhaps today was my last day of the show, so I did not want to go home with fights and negativity. I drank that and very calmly went towards the exit door.
But when I was leaving the house, Archana came to me and started acting as if she was very sad about my leaving. Then my temper soared. I told him in clear words, "First of all, I am neither eating from your house nor eating from anyone's father. So next time, control your tongue before speaking about anyone." After this he also apologized to me.
The controversy regarding 'Rang' with Sapna Choudhary gained a lot of attention. She had said that “I will become black like Sammy.” What would you say on this racism?
Sammy's answer: I don't think Sapna ji was aware of what she was saying at that time. She was talking about 'tanning' with Lakshya and she gave my example. My mental state is very strong, these things don't bother me. But I explained to him that when this footage goes out, people will troll him a lot.
The interesting thing is that the footage in which he made that comment was not shown on TV, but when Karan Patel was explaining this to everyone inside the house, then everyone came to know what he had said. I just told them that such things give a very wrong message outside. He also admitted his mistake and said sorry.

There is a lot of discussion about groupism inside the house. Which group did you find more truthful?
Sammy's answer: My group! In which I, Kaka and Vikrant were there. We were three people who never planned games. We never used to sit separately and discuss whom to vote for or whom to expel. We just chilled and had a good time with each other. We did not want to be a part of that 'dirty game'. I think there was too much politics and pretense in the other group of the house.
Who do you think will win the trophy of 'The 50' and who is the real mastermind of the house?
Sammy's answer: I have full hope that Shiv Thackeray can win this show. He has experience and knows how to win people's hearts. As far as the mastermind is concerned, I will take the name of Kaka. Kaka is a very 'silent and deadly' player. He seems very cheerful and joking from outside, but he takes every task very seriously and performs very well. People are liking him very much outside.

What was the most memorable moment of the show for you?
Sammy's answer: When I performed my rap song “The Intro” inside the house. Nia Sharma was present there and she praised me a lot. She said she was a fan of Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent, but she was very happy to meet me. It is the biggest victory for me for a foreign artist to get so much love in India.
Now what next? Will we see you in more reality shows like 'Bigg Boss'?
Sammy's answer: Why not? 'The 50' was just the beginning. If I get a good challenge, I will definitely come. Right now my entire focus is on my music. My new songs and big collaborations are coming very soon.
