A big update has come out regarding the West Bengal Board Class 11th Supplementary Exam (WBCHSE 11th Supplementary Exam). Students who will not be able to pass any subject of 11th Sem-2 will get a chance to clear the backlog papers through Semester 2 supplementary examination. Which will be organized by the school. West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education has issued instructions to schools regarding this. Several deadlines have also been fixed for uploading the marks.
Class 11th Sem 2 Supplementary Exam will now be conducted every year. Schools will have to conduct the supplementary examination by 11th April 2026. Students who failed in any subject in Semester 2 in session 2024-25 were allowed to appear in the supplementary examination within a month. Earlier this facility was also not available. If he failed Semester-2, he had to repeat the entire academic year.
According to the notice issued by WBCHSE, schools will have to upload the marks of class 11th semester 2 supplementary examination on the online portal by April 16, 2026. It includes scores of Semester 1, Semester 2, Semester 1 Supplementary Exam, Semester 2 Supplementary Exam, Practical and Project.
The Council has also been instructed to take special care of the deadlines for supplementary examination and uploading scores. Classes for students promoted to class 12th i.e. Semester-3 in the academic session 2026-27 will start in the fourth week of April 2026. The council has given this information in the official notice.
