Rishikesh: Confluence of spirituality and adventure

Located in the Devbhoomi of Uttarakhand, Rishikesh is not only a center of spiritual peace but also an ideal holiday destination for adventure lovers. It is considered the Yoga Capital of the World, and its natural beauty and pleasant weather make it popular among tourists. If you are planning to go to Rishikesh on weekend, then in this article we will tell you what you can do in 48 hours.

first day

Morning: Start your journey from Lakshman Jhula and Ram Jhula. These swings built on the river Ganga attract tourists and one gets the experience of seeing a wonderful view of the Ganga from here. After this, visit the Tera Manzil temple, which houses statues of various gods and goddesses.

Afternoon: For lunch visit a local café near Laxman Jhula. Here you can enjoy Pahari Continental cuisine sitting on the banks of Ganga. Next, visit the Beatles Ashram, where the wall art and meditation center will give you a unique experience.

Evening: Be sure to visit Triveni Ghat in the evening. The grand Ganga Aarti here is the identity of Rishikesh. The chanting of mantras, the light of burning lamps and the faith of the devotees together create a divine atmosphere, which provides peace to the mind.

second day

Morning: Start the second day with exciting activities. Be sure to experience river rafting in Rishikesh. Rafting starting from Brahmapuri or Shivpuri gives you the opportunity to collide with the waves of Ganga. If you want more adventure, try bungee jumping or a giant swing.

Afternoon: To de-stress in the afternoon, attend a yoga session at a serene ashram or yoga center. After this, take a short trek to Neergarh Waterfall, where the cool water will take away all your tiredness.

Evening: At the end of this trip, visit the local markets of Rishikesh and do the shopping of your choice. Afterwards, conclude your visit with dinner at one of the river-view restaurants.
