Vijay Dahiya will be the assistant coach of Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026. Before joining Gujarat Titans, Vijay Dahiya was also associated with Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants. Gujarat franchise will also be seen benefiting from the experiences of Vijay Dahiya.
Vijay Dahiya was associated with KKR from 2009 to 2015, where he assisted its head coach Gautam Gambhir. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders won 2 IPL titles in 2012 and 2014. He was replaced by Simon Katich in Kolkata Knight Riders.
Vijay Dahiya later joined Lucknow Super Giants, where Gautam Gambhir was in the role of mentor. Vijay Dahiya was associated with LSG from 2021 to 2023. Before this, he was also a part of the talent scout of Delhi Capitals between 2019 and 2021. Vijay Dahiya has also had experience of coaching in Delhi domestic cricket.
Talking about Vijay Dahiya's cricket career, he has played 84 first class and 83 List A matches. Combining these two formats, he has scored around 5000 runs with 4 centuries.
Gujarat Titans entered the IPL in the year 2022 and won the first season under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya. The current captain of Gujarat Titans is Shubman Gill.
