Has Eid moon been sighted in Saudi Arabia?

After the Shawwal crescent was not sighted on Wednesday, Saudi Arabia announced that Eid Al Fitr 2026 will fall on Friday, March 20. The UAE has confirmed that Eid ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Friday, after the completion of 30 days of Ramadan and the unsuccessful sighting of the Shawwal crescent.

In Delhi-NCR, the moon is likely to be visible on the evening of March 19. If the crescent is seen, Eid will be celebrated on March 20. The expected moon visibility window is between 6:24 PM and 6:58 PM.

The month of Ramadan in India started on February 18 and today marks the 29th day of the holy month. According to the reports, the crescent moon will either be sighted on Thursday, March 19, or Friday, March 20. If the moon isn't sighted on March 19, the Muslims across the country will continue to fast until the moon is sighted.
