RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is also talking about the importance of social media. Bhagwat said during an event on Thursday that social media has started being used on a large scale, and for good work, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) needs to increase its “activity” on such platforms.
RSS chief Bhagwat said at the centenary celebrations of Marathi newspaper 'Tarun Bharat' in Nagpur that a large number of people use social media, but it should be used for good work.
He said, "Memes and reels are already going on. Some content is being spread through the communication department of RSS, and our volunteers are also using social media very well. It will get acceptance. I would not call it an expectation, although we have to increase our activism there."
The Sangh chief said that bringing people together and bringing change in the society, both have become very important because they also strengthen each other. He said that when a dedicated volunteer is ready, he does constructive work, which spreads in the society and contributes to the desired change.
Regarding Swayamsevak Sangh, he said that the work of RSS is increasing and there is a need for decentralization. According to him, as people's expectations have increased, the demand for volunteers in different areas is also increasing, making it necessary to have smaller units for better efficiency.
Emphasizing the need to work together, the Sangh chief said that for the growing work of the organization, there is a need to hold talks with the government and administration from time to time, for which a separate coordination mechanism is being created. He says that a unit is being formed at the “state level” to handle such coordination and remove obstacles.
