It is Dhurandhar day as the much-awaited sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge has dropped in theatres. Fans are already flocking to the theatres to see what happens with Ranveer Singh’s character and how the story progresses. While the first instalment was a major hit, earning more than Rs 1300 crore worldwide, the second is expected to surpass this record.

One of the most talked about characters from Dhurandhar 2 has to be Rakesh Bedi’s character Jamali, a scheming and manipulative Karachi politician. While fans are loving his act in the film, Rakesh, in a recent interview revealed how Ranveer Singh hyped him up and said that if the film earns Rs 1000 crore, Rs 500 crore is because of Rakesh Bedi.

During an interaction with India Podcasts, Rakesh Bedi revealed that Ranveer Singh hyped him up on the sets of Dhurandhar 2. He said, “Bohot achchi tuning rahi, aur jab mera last day tha… tab Ranveer ne mke apne haath mein li aur bola ki agar ye film ₹1000 crore ka dhanda karegi toh usme ₹500 crore Rakesh ji ke vajah se honge (There was such a good tuning on set. When it was my last day, Ranveer took the mike and said that if the film makes 1000 crore at the box office then 500 crore will be because of Rakesh ji)!”
