The 2026 Formula 1 season is well underway following another Mercedes victory in China at the weekend. Kimi Antonelli threw his hat into the world championship ring after an impressive victory over George Russell.
The Mercedes racer became F1's second-youngest winner, while Russell finished second to confirm his lead in the title race by four points after a difficult qualifying. Mercedes technical director James Allison maintains the team will learn from the "mess" which hampered Russell in Shanghai.
It's been a more difficult start to the season for Max Verstappen, who has been frustrated with the new regulations. The Dutchman sits down in eighth in the drivers' championship. Meanwhile, Ralf Schumacher believes that Verstappen's public criticism of Formula 1's new regulations and Red Bull's struggles to get up to speed in 2026 are the opposite of how his brother, Michael Schumacher, would have addressed the situation.
