Tottenham are reportedly close to selling Guglielmo Vicario to Inter Milan for a fee of £17million. The Italian has been the club’s number one since his arrival from Italian side Empoli in 2023.
But he has struggled in recent campaigns, with the north London side now happy to let him leave. According to the Mail, Spurs are closing in on a £17m deal with Inter Milan, who have been looking for a long-term replacement for Yann Sommer.
Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio was in London this week for meetings and met Vicario’s representative Valerio Giufridda for talks ahead of Spurs’ Champions League win against Atletico Madrid.
Vicario, 29, has made 116 appearances in all for Tottenham and has just over two years remaining on his contract with the club. Meanwhile, fellow goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky could also look for pastures new, with it being suggested he is keen to leave on loan in an effort to rebuild his career. That would leave Spurs looking for two new keepers this summer.

Both Spurs goalkeepers were at the centre of a controversial moment earlier this month as Vicario replaced Kinsky after just 17 minutes of the first leg of Spurs' Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.
The latter marched straight down the tunnel at the Wanda Metropolitano. Asked about why he hauled Kinsky off, Spurs boss Igor Tudor said: “When you make this decision to change, you always lose. When you do that substitution after 15 minutes, the coach loses in both cases.
“First case, because you put him in so everyone says, ‘Why are you doing this? You killed the guy.’ If you don’t, you are taking a risk to concede one or two more goals. I would do the same again. It was an act of helping to preserve the guy and to preserve the team.
“Why didn’t I go to give him hug? Because maybe he was angry. Maybe coaches do the things to avoid this scene and to get a situation worse than it was.
“Sometimes it is better to stay there and we hug each other at half-time. At half-time we speak and nothing [more], the situation finished there.”
Tudor will likely continue to select Vicario between the sticks this weekend as Spurs aim to move away from the relegation zone. The north London side are 16th and just one point above the drop zone ahead of Sunday’s crucial showdown with Nottingham Forest.
