Teen named after fatal stabbing in Hammersmith as man, 31, charged with murder

A 31-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a teenagerinWest London. He was set to appear in court on Thursday, March 19.

Berkan Damir, 18, died from aneck wound on Sunday, March 15. Police have said that Ahmed Said, 31, of Lena Gardens, Hammersmith was charged with his murder.

The Metropolitan Police rushed to the address in Lena Gardens, Hammersmith, where homes can sell for more than £2 million, just after 6pm on Sunday. Police evening found the two men with stab wounds.

"Our thoughts remain with the victim's loved ones as they come to terms with the tragic events of Sunday evening," Superintendent Pali Grewal, who leads neighbourhood policing in the area, previously said, The Sun reported.

"We understand this will be distressing news for those living locally."

"A crime scene remains in place at Lena Gardens and residents can expect to see increased police patrols in the area."

Berkan died at the scene.

Metropolitan Police said a post-mortem examination on Tuesday confirmed the cause of death as sharp force trauma to the left side of the neck.

His family have asked for privacy.

The Met's Specialist Crime Command are investigating the incident.

Officers have urged anyone with information to come forward by calling 101 or reporting anonymously through Crimestoppers.
