IIT JAM 2026 | jam2026.iitb.ac.in: IIT Bombay has officially declared the results for IIT JAM 2026—the Joint Admission Test for Masters. This examination is conducted for admission into Master's programs such as M.Sc., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, and others. The examination was held on February 15, 2026, and the results are now available at jam2026.iitb.ac.in. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their results immediately. 6. Download the result and save it in PDF format.

What Details Will the Scorecard Contain?
The scorecard will include the following important information:
– Candidate's Name
– Registration Number
– Roll Number
– Date of Examination

– Total Marks Obtained
– All India Rank (AIR)
– Category Rank

What are the Tie-Breaking Rules?
If two or more candidates secure the same total marks in a specific test paper, the following tie-breaking criteria will be applied to determine their ranks:
– Priority will be given to the candidate with fewer negative marks.
– Subsequently, priority will be given to the candidate who secured higher marks in the NAT (Numerical Answer Type) questions. – Next, marks obtained in MSQs (Multiple Select Questions).
– Followed by marks obtained in 2-mark questions.
– Then, marks obtained in 2-mark NATs.
– If a tie persists even after this, the Date of Birth (DOB) will be considered; the older candidate will be assigned a higher rank.

The Merit List: What Comes Next?

An All-India Merit List is prepared for every test paper. The number of candidates included in this list depends on the available seats across the GEN, OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, ST, and PwD categories. These eligible candidates can now apply for admission to Master's programs at IITs, IISc, and other institutions. The admission process will be conducted separately via the JOAPS portal.
