No deal, no toll had to be paid…Indian ships left Hormuz like this, inside story came after 15 days

The Strait of Hormuz is in the headlines due to the ongoing tension between Iran and America. Iran is allowing cargo ships to pass through this route as per its convenience. Iran has set two conditions for allowing the ships to pass – one is a deal and the other is toll collection. Under these conditions, cargo ships from countries like China, Malaysia and Pakistan Hormuz Have passed through. Although India also brought three of its ships through this route, but neither did India make any deal nor paid toll tax for this.

bloomberg has made a report regarding this quoting sources from the Ministry of External Affairs. According to this, India adopted the diplomatic route to bring cargo ships laden with its oil and gas. Under this, India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri first participated in the condolence meeting organized in New Delhi for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Hormuz route reached through talks

According to the report, initially it was not easy for India to make peace with both the countries. Because, Iran has been a friendly country of India for a long time, while it has many defense and policy agreements with America and Israel. In such a situation, appearing in favor of any one person could spoil the situation.

India intensified talks after Vikram Misri attended Khamenei's condolence meeting. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar himself spoke to his Iranian counterpart on phone at least three times during that period. After this, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Iranian President Masoud Pajeshkian.

It was during these conversations that the path to Hormuz emerged. Iran's ambassador in New Delhi also played an important role in this. After this, the Iranian government instructed the Islamic Revolutionary Guard to provide safe passage to Indian ships.

India also helped Iran

According to Bloomberg, the path to talks opened after the decision in which India agreed to anchor an Iranian naval ship in Kochi. Because on the same day, Iran's warship Dena was sunk by America using a submarine in the area of Sri Lanka. This was a big blow for Iran.

If India had not given permission to anchor in Kochi, America could have targeted the naval ship also. Iran understood this and started diplomatic talks with India.

After the ship's arrival in India, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar had also given a statement. Jaishankar had said at that time – Arrangements are being made to bring one tanker each. No agreement has been made with Iran regarding this.
