The controversy over the Sanchar Sathi app is still not completely over. Meanwhile, new controversy. Modi government wants to make Aadhaar app mandatory on all smartphones. Mobile companies object again.

According to the news agency Reuters, last January, the center informed mobile manufacturers that the mAdhar app must be pre-installed on every new smartphone from now on. Common citizens can correct and update all Aadhaar information through that app. The Modi government sought the help of mobile companies to raise awareness about the app. But companies like Samsung, Apple opposed the proposal.

However, this is not the case when mobile companies objected to Sanchar Sathi, alleging violation of privacy laws. Mobile manufacturing companies claim that in order to pre-install apps like Aadhaar, separate production lines should be created for mobiles sold in the Indian market. That means the phones in India have to be made separately. In that case, the cost of the organization will increase. In the end, the proposal could not be implemented. However, the Center is still in discussions.

Note that UIDAI already wants to radically change the Aadhaar card. According to sources, the new design of Aadhaar card will not contain name, address, personal information of citizens. There will only be images and a QR code. All information of the citizen will be hidden in that QR code. You have to use the new Aadhaar app again to scan it. Center has already introduced new mAdhar app. By scanning the QR code in that app, the information of the citizens will be found only then. Center wants to make mAdhar app mandatory.
