Skoda Kushaq Facelift 2026: If you’re looking for an SUV that’s comfortable to drive and features a luxury car, tomorrow will be a special day for you. Skoda India is launching the facelifted version of its most popular SUV, the Skoda Kushaq, in the Indian market tomorrow. This new Kushaq, which is poised to disrupt the mid-size SUV segment, will now feature major updates like a panoramic sunroof, six airbags, and a powerful 8-speed automatic transmission. To compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, Skoda has made everything from the design to the cabin technology even more premium and powerful.

New and Modern Exterior

The company has made subtle yet impressive changes to the look of the new Skoda Kushaq facelift. The front of the car now features redesigned LED headlights and updated bumpers, giving it a wider and more robust look. Furthermore, the striking design of the new alloy wheels and new taillight elements at the rear gives it a modern touch. While the car’s design and size remain unchanged, subtle changes have significantly enhanced its road presence. For those who prefer a classic, European-designed SUV, this new avatar is a treat.

Premium Interior and High-Tech Cabin

As soon as you step inside the new Kushaq, you’ll feel transported to a completely different world. The dashboard has been completely redesigned, now featuring a 10.25-inch digital driver display and a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. To further enhance the cabin’s premium feel, Skoda has incorporated dual-tone ambient lighting and leatherette upholstery.

To make long journeys comfortable, it features ventilated seats, which are very useful in summer. Furthermore, a panoramic sunroof has also been added, catering to a segment-leading demand. For music lovers, a 6-speaker premium audio system and improved connectivity options make it a truly magical gadget on the go.

Safety

Skoda has always been known for its robust build quality, and the new Kushaq continues this legacy. In terms of safety, expect six airbags to be standard across all variants. Additionally, features like the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), rain-sensing wipers, and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) help prevent accidents. For child safety, features like ISOFIX child seat mounts and an auto-dimming IRVM make it an ideal family SUV.

Engine and Transmission

The biggest mechanical change will be the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. While it previously came with a 6-speed transmission, the company has now added an 8-speed automatic transmission. This new gearbox will not only make driving smoother but also help deliver better highway mileage. For speed enthusiasts, the powerful 1.5-liter engine remains, producing a whopping 148 hp. This engine is ideal for those who want uncompromising driving in the mountains and on long distances.
