Haldwani: Preparations are in full swing for a grand program in Haldwani of Nainital district to commemorate the completion of four years of the government in Uttarakhand. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will attend this important event as the chief guest. In view of his proposed visit, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Haldwani on Friday and held an important meeting with officials to review the preparations.
This program is to be organized on March 21 at MB Inter College grounds in the city. The Chief Minister first held a detailed meeting with Kumaon Division Commissioner Deepak Rawat and other senior officials at the Circuit House in Kathgodam and discussed the outline and arrangements of the program in detail. The Commissioner informed the Chief Minister about the current status of preparations.
After the meeting, Chief Minister Dhami directly reached MB Inter College ground, where he physically inspected the venue. He took a close look at the stage, pandal and seating arrangements for the public. During this, he gave clear instructions to the officials that the people coming to the program should not face any kind of inconvenience.
The Chief Minister said, “A large number of people will be attending the public meeting, so proper seating arrangements should be ensured for them. Along with this, there should be adequate arrangements for drinking water, cleanliness and toilets so that no one faces any problem.”
The Chief Minister also expressed concern over the impact of organizing a big event in the city on the traffic system. He directed the officials that an effective route diversion plan should be prepared in advance so that the people of Haldwani and the visitors coming from outside do not face any problem in transportation.
CM Dhami stressed that the traffic plan should be widely disseminated so that people can know in advance about alternative routes and jam situations can be avoided. The officials assured the Chief Minister that all possible steps are being taken to make the program a success by following all the instructions.
