Couldn’t reach the finals yet

Lucknow Super Giants joined the league in 2012. In the last four seasons, the team has never reached the finals. There were many changes in IPL 2025. The axis of this team was entrusted to the new captain i.e. Rishabh Pant. Also there were major changes in the team. And after all these changes the coaching staff was on the field; However, these changes did not translate into improved performance. The team failed to make the playoffs and finished in seventh place. Skipper Rishabh Pant failed to make his mark both as a batsman and captain. Similarly, Mentor Zaheer Khan also failed to make his mark. But it is expected to show maximum in 2026.

For IPL 2026, LSG is once again entering the field with a new coaching team and several new players. Changes have also been made to the team’s jersey and logo. LSG are entering this season with the determination to establish their dominance and win their first title.

A team made up of legendary players

This season, LSG will expect match-winning performances from the likes of captain Rishabh Pant, Nicholas Pooran, Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, Mohammed Shami, Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan and Digvijay Rathi. Mohammed Shami will be playing for LSG for the first time this season. He was part of the SRH squad last season; But before the auction, the franchise had released him. All eyes will be on Shami’s performance as well, as he is all set to make a comeback to the national team.
