IMD Alert: Chances of heavy rain and thunderstorm in many districts of UP

Lucknow. The weather has suddenly taken a turn in Uttar Pradesh, which has brought relief to the people from the heat, but at the same time the need to be alert has also increased. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), due to the influence of active western disturbance, rain, strong winds and thunderstorms are continuing in many parts of the state.

More impact in Western UP

Light to moderate rain has been recorded in many districts of western Uttar Pradesh including Ghaziabad, Noida, Meerut, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Agra and Aligarh. At some places, there is a possibility of strong winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour and lightning. Yellow alert has been issued for these areas.

Effect visible in eastern UP also

Let us tell you that there is a possibility of cloudy sky, light rain and thunder in the capital Lucknow including Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi and Gorakhpur. However, the impact of weather in these areas is expected to be relatively less.

Due to rain and clouds, the temperature has dropped by 4 to 8 degrees Celsius in most parts of the state. The maximum temperature is expected to be between 26 to 30 degrees Celsius, due to which a slight coolness is being felt in March.

Warning for farmers and travelers

The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of hailstorm and thunderstorm in some areas. There is also a danger of tree branches breaking and lightning due to strong winds. In such a situation, farmers and travelers have been advised to take special precautions, especially while working in open spaces and fields.

Weather will soon become normal in Uttar Pradesh

According to meteorologists, this change is temporary and the weather will gradually become normal in the next one or two days. After this, the temperature may rise again.
