IPL: Due to the Indian Premier League 2026, the stir in Pakistan cricket has intensified. Actually, many foreign players playing in Pakistan Super League are suddenly turning to IPL, due to which the concern of Pakistan Cricket Board has increased. Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi’s anger over this entire issue has come out openly and he has given a strict warning to the players going to IPL and even talked about taking legal action.
In fact, during a conversation with the media on Sunday, PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi clearly said, as far as international players are concerned, you yourself see who has come to play in the Pakistan Super League this time. Yes, 2-3 players have definitely left the league and we are preparing to take legal action against them.
Actually, this time IPL and PSL are being organized almost at the same time, due to which there is a direct competition between the two leagues. However, Naqvi said that the clash with IPL will not have much impact on Pakistan Super League as there is no dearth of talented players in the world and many international players are still part of PSL.
During this, Naqvi also revealed that some matches of Pakistan Super League 2026 can be held in empty stadiums. The reason behind this has been said to be the ongoing tense situation in the Middle East.
Pakistan Super League 2026 will start from 26 March and the final will be played on 3 May.
On the other hand, IPL 2026 is going to start from March 28, but BCCI has not yet released the complete schedule, due to which the date of the final has not been revealed.
Zimbabwe’s Blessing Muzarabani was earlier to play for Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League, but he has replaced Mustafizur Rahman by joining Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. Dasun Shanaka has also left the PSL contract and joined IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals. It is noteworthy that last season, Pakistan Cricket Board had taken action against Corbin Bosch, when he joined Mumbai Indians.
