When Sanju Samson and Muttiah Muralitharan came face to face on the cricket field in Chennai, the sight became exciting in itself. This includes his 1374 first class wickets, 682 List A wickets and 179 T20 wickets. This was the first time that Samson and Muralitharan were face to face with each other.
On the cricket field, Muralitharan had the ball in his hand and Samson had the bat in his hand. Sanju played the first two balls very comfortably. But on the next ball he went to play a big shot but Muralitharan, showing his greatness, dodged him. Dhoni was also seen smiling after seeing this. Muralitharan beat Samson on the next ball also. But, by the end of the over, Samson also hit a six off Muralitharan's ball.

Even though this was not an IPL match, a large number of cricket fans were present at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai to watch it. When Samson hit a six off Muralitharan, the noise in the stadium reached its peak.
Muttiah Muralitharan has also played for CSK before. He was associated with this team from IPL 2008 to 2010. Muttiah Muralitharan has taken 40 wickets in 40 IPL matches played for CSK. Currently, he had reached Chennai to participate in CSK's event ROAR 2026, which was an occasion for the reunion of former players of the yellow jersey IPL team.
