Chopping board is used extensively in the kitchen of all of us. The task of cutting vegetables becomes much easier with its help. But many times the smell of vegetables or garlic and onion remains in the chopping board, but lemon is a very easy and effective home remedy to remove its smell and bacteria. The citric acid present in it acts as a natural cleaner and anti-bacterial agent. Let us know how to use it.
- Cut the lemon in half. If you already have a half-cut lemon in the fridge, you can use the same.
- Rub the lemon thoroughly on the board where you have cut onion, garlic or ginger.
- Use of Salt (For better results) Sprinkle a little salt on the board and then scrub with lemon. This removes both the accumulated dirt and odor quickly.
- Leave it for 5–10 minutes. Let the lemon juice remain on the board for some time so that it can eliminate the bacteria. Wash with lukewarm water. Finally, wash the board with clean water and dry it.
