A disturbing incident in La Plata has sparked significant concern after 27-year-old Dayton James Webber, a professional cornhole player and quadruple amputee, was charged with the murder of Bradrick Michael Wells during a dispute. The Charles County Sheriff's Office reported that the confrontation occurred on Sunday night while both men were inside a Tesla SUV. Allegations suggest that Webber, who was behind the wheel, shot Wells, who was in the front passenger seat, after an argument ensued.

Following the shooting, Webber reportedly halted the vehicle and requested assistance from two backseat passengers to remove Wells' body. When they declined and exited the car to alert authorities, Webber allegedly fled the scene with the body still inside the SUV. Wells' remains were later found in a yard on Newport Church Road in Charlotte Hall, where he was declared dead.

Webber was subsequently located at a hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he was apprehended as a fugitive. He faces multiple charges, including first-degree and second-degree murder, and is currently awaiting extradition to Charles County. This case has garnered widespread attention, particularly due to the puzzling question of how Webber, who lacks arms and legs, managed to drive and fire a weapon. Investigators have indicated that the inquiry is still in its preliminary phases, with no evidence pointing to the involvement of any other individuals.

Despite the ongoing investigation, videos circulating on social media seem to depict Webber using firearms, including rifles and 9mm handguns, which adds a perplexing layer to the case. One notable clip, labeled “no hands no feet shooting 9mm handgun,” has gained traction following his arrest.

Webber, who lost all four limbs as a child due to a blood infection, is recognized in the competitive scene as a player in the American Cornhole League. As authorities work to uncover the details surrounding this case, it remains both intricate and troubling, with numerous questions still unanswered.
