Delhi Police Traffic Advisory: The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory in view of the ongoing Navratri celebrations at the Jhandewalan Temple. An X post shared by the Delhi Police states that traffic volume is expected to be heavy on Rani Jhansi Road and Deshbandhu Gupta (DBG) Road. Additionally, the public has been urged to exercise caution and utilize alternative routes. Therefore, if you are planning to travel along this route between today—March 23—and March 27, you must read this traffic advisory.

According to the Delhi Police, route diversions are being implemented on certain roads to manage traffic flow. Consequently, buses, as well as other heavy and commercial vehicles, will be diverted away from the routes leading to Kalkadas Chowk and the Jhandewalan Roundabout. These vehicles will be prohibited from plying on Deshbandhu Gupta (DBG) Road daily from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, from March 23 to March 27.

Meanwhile, commuters traveling from Ajmeri Gate or Rani Jhansi Road towards Kalkadas Chowk are advised to use Panchkuian Road via the Baga Roundabout and Faiz Road. Furthermore, travelers proceeding beyond Kalkadas Chowk should take the route through Faiz Road, the Baga Roundabout, and Panchkuian Road.

Use These Alternative Routes
The Delhi Police has appealed to the public to avoid traveling on Rani Jhansi Road and Deshbandhu Gupta (DBG) Road during peak hours. Additionally, commuters have been advised to utilize alternative routes such as Faiz Road, New Rohtak Road, and Panchkuian Road. For your information, this traffic advisory will remain in effect from March 23 to March 27. During this period—specifically between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM—traffic congestion may occur due to the large number of devotees visiting the Jhandewalan Temple.
