Formula 1's engines start once again this weekend as the racing calendar heads to Japan for a trip around Suzuka. George Russell will be tasked with seeing if he can maintain his lead at the top of the rankings, with team-mate Kimi Antonelli biting at his heels following his first win at the China Grand Prix.

Fernando Alonso has had a tough season so far with Aston Martin as they continue to deal with vibrations that are causing issues for him and team-mate Lando Norris. The Spaniard will miss FP1 as Jak Crawford takes his seat for the opening round of practice.

There is sure to be more contention over F1's regulations, with Max Verstappen having been a staunch opponent. Lewis Hamilton meanwhile, is enjoying a more positive season and will hope to continue fighting near the top with Charles Leclerc, after making the podium last time out.
