Emmerdale has revealed the departure storyline and date for Tracy Robinson in fresh spoilers for the upcoming week.

In Tuesday's instalment of the popular ITV soap, Tracy's sister, Vanessa Woodfield, was deeply upset to discover that her sibling intended to leave the village.

Vanessa initially thought Tracy was arranging a date, but soon realised that Tracy was planning to move out and depart from the village.

During a heartfelt conversation, Tracy confessed she had been feeling adrift following the death of her ex-husband Nate Robinson and had received a job offer from her former mother-in-law Cara Robinson, along with accommodation, away from the village.

Tracy conceded she wasn't certain if it was a permanent relocation but felt she needed a break from the village, noting it would be beneficial for her child Frankie to spend time with her grandmother.

New spoilers for the forthcoming week reveal Tracy departing the village, hopeful that Cain Dingle will arrive in time to bid farewell to his granddaughter before they set off.

In reality, actress Amy Walsh, who portrays Tracy, is on maternity leave and announced the birth of her second child earlier this week.

Amy, 38, who also has a three year old daughter Bonnie with her EastEnders star husband Toby-Alexander Smith, shared the news of her baby girl's arrival on Instagram.

Amy, who is the sister of Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh, didn't reveal the name of her newborn but explained she went into labour over a week ago, and has been in a "magical bubble" with her family since.

During the Christmas period, she announced she was expecting a little girl.

Amy wrote earlier this week alongside a black-and-white photograph of her newborn: "This time last week I was heading into established labour. We've been in the most magical bubble ever since" with heart emojis.

Isabel Hodgins, who plays Victoria Sugden on Emmerdale and is currently on maternity leave herself after welcoming a baby girl as well, commented: "Amazing!!"

Coronation Street boss Kate Brooks, who is married to Emmerdale's Vanessa star Michelle Hardwick, wrote: "The most beautiful news. MASSIVE congratulations to you all. Sending oodles amounts of love your way xxxx"

Emmerdale continues on weekdays at 8pm on ITV and ITV X.
