There have been many changes in BSNL 197 Plan in the last few years and the validity has reduced every time. Earlier, the company had reduced the validity in July 2025 and now after a few months, the validity of this cheap recharge plan has been reduced once again.
According to Telecom Talk, earlier the validity of Rs 197 BSNL plan was available for 70 days, but last time it was reduced to 54 days and now the company has once again reduced the validity to 35 days. Based on Rs 197 and validity of 35 days, the daily cost is approximately Rs 5.63.

One thing to note here is that this plan comes with 300 minutes of voice calling and unlimited data (after the 5GB data is exhausted, the speed will be reduced to 40 Kbps). This plan offers the benefits of free Hellotune, spam alert and Airtel Xstream Play once in 30 days.
