Bahraich/Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that his government does not see people on the basis of caste, but as members of the family. Accusing the previous governments, he said that they caused harm to the society by dividing it into castes. The families being rehabilitated today include people from Dalit, Backward, Yadav, Maurya, Kushwaha and Tharu tribes. The aim of the government is that everyone should get security and facilities.
The Chief Minister gave rehabilitation assistance of Rs 15 lakh per person to 118 beneficiaries of Bharathapur in a program organized at Semrahna village of Bahraich. Also, a total amount of more than Rs 21.55 crore was transferred for agricultural land and other properties. Apart from this, 136 families were given houses, toilets and land leases.
CM Yogi said that the previous governments ignored the poor and the deprived. He said that those who talk about social justice today, did not give their rights to the people of Bharathapur earlier. The government is now working with service and compassion through 'double engine'.
The Chief Minister said that when service and compassion are added to governance, the poor easily get the benefits of housing, toilets, Ayushman cards and other schemes. He said that the government has utilized the state treasury for the benefit of 25 crore people, which includes employment, electricity, roads and disaster management.
Referring to the situation in Bharthapur village, CM Yogi said that in 2025, 9 people had died in a boat accident. This area was extremely risky due to its location between the forest and the river, where there is a danger of crocodiles, elephants and other wild animals. The government helped the people by carrying out relief work rapidly.
The Chief Minister said that before 2017, the state was dominated by riots and mafia, but now festivals are celebrated with peace and enthusiasm. He also mentioned the increasing number of devotees in the state on the occasion of Ram Navami and Navratri.
CM Yogi said that during Navratri, lakhs of devotees are reaching Vindhyachal, Kalikoh, Ashtabhuji, Pateshwari, Lalita Devi and Shakumbhari Devi temples for darshan. A large number of people are also coming to Ayodhya for Ram Navami.
The government will build a new colony named 'Bharatpur' for the rehabilitated families in Semrahna. Each family will be given 748 square feet of land and housing. The colony will have roads, electricity, water, parks, LED lights and other facilities.
The government has sanctioned crores of rupees for CC roads, electricity pole shifting, water pipelines, parks and Anganwadi centres. Additional rooms will also be built in the school. The goal is to complete all the work within the deadline.
CM Yogi said that many forest villages are being converted into revenue villages, so that the people there can get government facilities. This process is going on in many districts including Bahraich.
The Chief Minister said that to reduce the distance from Bahraich to Lucknow, the road is being made four lane. This will reduce the travel time from 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Many ministers, MLAs, MPs and other public representatives were present in this program, who supported this scheme.
