Crude oil prices increased again today, oil crossed 103 dollars

Crude oil prices had fallen yesterday i.e. on March 25, 2026, due to signs of stability in tensions in the Middle East. Oil prices had fallen by about 6 percent in early trading. But today again their prices have increased. Crude oil prices have experienced a lot of shocks in the last few weeks. Sometimes the prices reached 120 dollars per barrel, and later they also softened. However, on Thursday, March 26, the market once again started gaining momentum. Brent crude went above $103 per barrel, while WTI i.e. crude oil is also seen trading around $91.

Due to this, oil prices rose

The increasing tension between America and Iran has become a major reason behind the rise in crude oil prices on Thursday. While America is continuously saying that talks are going on regarding ceasefire, Iran is completely rejecting these claims. Also, Iran is now talking about tightening control over the Strait of Hormuz.

According to reports, Iran is planning to impose security fees on ships passing through this route. If this decision is implemented, international trade may become expensive. On the other hand, the stance of US President Donald Trump is also not clear. On one hand they are talking about peace, on the other hand a large number of soldiers have also been deployed.

Due to the problem in the Strait of Hormuz, the supply of millions of barrels of oil every day has been affected. This is affecting the prices of crude oil as well as diesel and aviation fuel. Traders say that due to interruption in supply, a sharp increase in oil prices is being seen in a short time. The movement of tankers has reduced significantly and due to strict inspection this sea route has now become more risky.
