In Agra, Naira Energy has raised the price of petrol by ₹5 and diesel by ₹3. Meanwhile, other fuel retailers are still maintaining their previous rates, providing some relief to consumers.
The ongoing tensions in the Middle East have exacerbated the existing LPG shortages, and the recent hike in petrol and diesel prices has dealt a significant blow to inflation. The new rates at Naira Energy's pumps in Agra have been implemented, with petrol now costing ₹5 more and diesel ₹3 more.
As one of the major private fuel retailers in the country, Naira Energy has adjusted its prices at its Agra petrol station. The increase is ₹5 per liter for petrol and ₹3 per liter for diesel. Fortunately, Indian Oil and Bharat Petroleum have not yet raised their petrol prices. However, following the private company's price hike, there is a possibility that these rates may also increase soon.
Current Rates:
Today's petrol price: ₹99.62 per liter
Today's diesel price: ₹90.41 per liter
Previous Rates:
Previous petrol price: ₹94.62 per liter
Previous diesel price: ₹87.41 per liter
Statements from Pump Owners:
Fuel companies have reduced the supply of petrol and diesel reaching the pumps. Most companies have started supplying fuel based on the daily sales ratio at the pumps. Previously, the supply was based on the demand from pump owners and their reserve capacity. Pump owners have reported that there is no shortage of fuel. Sales remain consistent with previous levels, but due to panic buying, there are some issues. Additionally, supply to rural areas has been significantly affected. Under the condition of anonymity, pump owners indicated that supply to rural pumps has been curtailed, leading to some shortages in those regions.
