Jeremy Clarkson's countryside empire continues to pull in crowds - and one visitor has now given his blunt verdict after making the trip himself on a rare sunny day. Influencer Nathan Caselton documented his visit to The Farmer's Dog, Clarkson's Oxfordshire pub featured in the hit Amazon Prime series Clarkson's Farm. He shared a play-by-play with followers as he explored the site, sampled the food and attempted to visit the famous farm shop.
Caselton began his video standing in an open field packed with visitors, making it clear just how popular the destination has become whenever the weather cooperates. "Supposed to be like 17 degrees today, so I imagine everyone had the same idea as us - 'Oh, should we go to Clarkson's farm?'" he said.
The crowds were hardly surprising. Since opening, Clarkson's ventures at Diddly Squat Farm have become a major tourist draw, with fans travelling from across the UK - and beyond - to experience the locations made famous on screen.
Caselton headed first to The Farmer's Dog pub, where Clarkson serves food made entirely from British produce alongside his own Hawkstone beer range. He grabbed a pint of the lager before ordering two burgers and chips, though the price raised eyebrows at £41 for the meal.
Still, the setting clearly helped soften the blow. Filming the sweeping countryside views, Caselton described the area as "lovely scenery" while settling in to eat outdoors. The food itself earned a decent review as he dubbed the burger "big and juicy," before adding simply: "Chips are good."
Menus at the venue emphasise locally sourced produce, a theme Caselton picked up on as he surveyed the offerings. "Fresh from the farm," he noted. Beyond the food, the pub doubles as a retail hub, packed with Clarkson-branded goods and rural lifestyle products.
Caselton filmed shelves stocked with everything from meat to merchandise. "All sorts of meat ..." he said, pointing out pork loin chops and other cuts for sale. There were also dog beds, aprons, beer bundles, IPA selections and branded pint glasses - souvenirs aimed squarely at fans of the show.
The influencer then attempted to visit another major attraction: the Diddly Squat farm shop itself. But the trip ended in disappointment. On arrival, he found the entrance closed off due to renovation work. "Dump entrance to the farm shop. It's closed for renovation," he said.
The closure meant he was unable to explore the small but famously busy shop, which has frequently been overwhelmed by visitor numbers since the show first aired.
Despite the setback, Caselton still recommended the trip overall, suggesting it makes for a pleasant day out - particularly in good weather. "Highly recommend if you've got a few hours on a nice sunny day," he told viewers.
Clarkson's farm has transformed from a struggling agricultural venture into one of Britain's most unlikely tourist hotspots, boosted by the global success of the Amazon series. The opening of The Farmer's Dog pub marked the latest expansion of the brand, drawing even more visitors to the rural site.
