Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is one of the most awaited films of 2026. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer is all set to hit theatres on Diwali 2026. Keeping the excitement alive, producer Namit Malhotra made a big announcement on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami. The producer revealed that that they will be sharing the next glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor from the film on Hanuman Jayanti.

The official statement shared by the makers announced that the film’s next glimpse will be out on April 2, “Shubh Rama Navami. This is a story that belongs to all of us, and every step we take has been guided by a deep sense of responsibility, devotion, and care to bring our very own Ramayana to life in its truest spirit and scale, with utmost sincerity."
The statement further read, “We look forward to sharing the next glimpse, ‘Rama’, on 2nd April, on the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, as we begin to showcase all these years of our effort through a grand world reveal with fans, celebrating this moment across the world. Thank you for your love, faith, and patience. Namit Malhotra"

Adding to the excitement, a recent report by Variety India revealed that Ranbir Kapoor and the Ramayana team will start their promotional tour in the US. This will mark the first official promotion for the project since the poster and first teaser were unveiled.

Other than Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, Ramayana stars Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Arun Govil as Dashrath, Indira Krishnan as Kaushalya, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara, Vivek Oberoi as Vidyutjiva and Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari.

More details on the casting are awaited. Earlier it was reported that South superstar Vijay Sethupathi is all set to feature as Vibhishana, the younger brother of Lankanaresh Ravana. However, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Vijay denied the rumours. Vijay told the news portal, “No, sir. I am no part of this project. No clue where this is coming from.”
As per reports, the film is made on a budget of approx. Rs 4,000 crore. Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana will be released in 2 parts, with the first part gearing up for a Diwali 2026 release, and the second part will have a Diwali release in 2027.
