IndiGo will start new direct flights between Delhi and Colombo from March 29 as the airline expands its international network. The airline will operate six flights a week on the route using A320 aircraft, offering more travel options between India and Sri Lanka.
The service will add to connectivity between the two countries, which share historical, cultural and economic ties. Increased flight services are expected to support trade and tourism flows.

With the new service, IndiGo will operate more than 55 weekly flights to Colombo from five Indian cities, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Delhi. The airline also runs 10 weekly flights connecting Chennai and Tiruchirappalli to Jaffna.

The expanded schedule strengthens IndiGo’s presence in Sri Lanka and increases options for passengers travelling between the two countries.

Passengers can book tickets through the airline’s website, mobile app and authorised travel partners. The airline said travellers can pre-book meals and beverages, including alcoholic drinks, and choose add-on services such as UpFront and Flexi for seat selection, snacks and flexible cancellations.
