Visionaries take the limelight
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana share a cultural legacy, yet have distinct identities. They have emerged as powerful engines of progress in India’s economic landscape. Telangana, led by its capital Hyderabad, is a global hub for technology, innovation and life sciences, while Andhra Pradesh is steadily building momentum with a strengthened focus on infrastructure, manufacturing, ports, and emerging industrial corridors.
The awards honoured 35 ‘Achievers’ for their outstanding contributions to their respective industries and to society at large.. A wide spectrum of industries was recognised, such as corporate, retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, healthcare and wellness, science and technology, innovation in AI, education, real estate, infrastructure, entrepreneurship, tourism, hospitality, community development, sustainability and CSR, arts and culture, and media and entertainment, among others.
The ‘Achievers’ were selected through a rigorous research process based on a proprietary evaluation model developed by Avance Insights Pvt. Ltd., which used a comprehensive assessment framework to evaluate nominees across industries in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Boman Irani’s success mantra
Before entering the film industry, Boman Irani pursued a diverse journey as a photographer and theatre artist, roles that laid the foundation of his two decades-long acting career, which earned him critical acclaim and numerous accolades.
“Every one of you sitting in this room is here because you followed your principles, your ethics, your morals and your bravery that has gotten you here. You’ve taken some risks and sometimes you’ve fallen, and then you’ve risen again,” said Boman Irani.
Irani regarded Hyderabad as his favourite city to visit again and again, praising its citizens for being warm, welcoming, and polite. He fondly recalled working on his first Telugu film Attarintiki Daredi, being cast in the upcoming Ram Charan-starrer Peddi and further appreciated “the scale, the vision and the optics” of the Telugu film industry.
When asked about his personal mantra for success, Irani emphasised that “no matter what you do every day for years and years, every morning should be like you’re starting on your first day.”
A fitting conclusion
The evening peaked when Boman Irani delivered a rendition of Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’, dedicating it to the award winners who have carved their own paths to success. His performance was met with rapturous applause, ensuring the evening would remain a memorable one for years to come.
As the ceremony drew to a close, the actor congratulated the winners one last time and posed for photos before everyone helped themselves to a curated dinner and fresh beverages.
In conclusion, the ceremony emerged as a vibrant showcase of inspiration and camaraderie, reflecting Hyderabad’s forward-looking spirit. With a clear focus on fostering innovation and creativity across sectors, the ET Industry Achievers have set a benchmark for recognising entrepreneurs and forward thinkers driving India’s progress.
