Houthis plunge into war…after the Strait of Hormuz, another sea route will be closed!

The scope of the America-Israel and Iran war seems to be getting bigger. The Israeli Army said this morning that it has identified a missile fired from Yemen. This is the first time since the war started that a missile has been fired from Yemen. Yemen's Houthi fighters had banned the entry of Israeli and American ships into the Red Sea in support of Hamas and the Palestinian people during the Gaza war.

The missile was fired a day after Iran-backed Houthi rebels had said they were ready to retaliate if action against Iran and the Axis of Resistance continued. However, he did not tell in what form his interference would take place. According to reports, Houthi rebels have fired ballistics at Israel's nuclear site Dimona.

Conflict may increase

The involvement of Houthi rebels in this war has increased the possibility of a major conflict in the entire region. This fear is even greater because the Houthi rebels have the ability to attack targets located far away from Yemen's borders and disrupt sea routes around the Arabian Sea and the Red Sea. He had done this before in support of Hamas in Gaza, after the attack on Israel on 7 October 2023.

Another shipping line of the world will be closed after Hormuz

Iran's Shia allies in Lebanon and Iraq have already joined this regional war. Now, after Houthi interference, there is a possibility of Bab el-Mandeb being closed. Bab al-Manjeb is one of the world's most important maritime chokepoints. It is located between Yemen (Arabian Peninsula) and Djibouti/Eritrea (Horn of Africa).

It connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean. This is the only sea route to reach the Suez Canal and about 10-15 percent of the world's sea trade takes place through this route. Iran has already banned Hormuz, if Houthis also close it, then a big economic crisis can arise in the world.
