New Delhi: In the film world, it is often believed that only a big role brings big recognition, but there are some actors who leave their mark on the audience even in small roles. Sandhya Mridul is one of these artists. Despite limited screen time in the 2002 film Saathiya, he caught people’s attention with his strong acting. Sandhya, even in a small role as Dina, sister of Rani Mukherjee’s character, made such an impact that the audience and critics started noticing her. Sandhya Mridul was born in Mumbai. His father P.R. Mridul was a lawyer by profession and later became a judge. The family shifted to Delhi during his childhood and he was sent to Jaipur for studies. The big shock in Sandhya’s life came when her father passed away at the age of 14. After this his elder brother took over his responsibility. Sandhya always performed excellently in studies. He did his graduation in Mathematics and post graduation in Marketing, after which he also did a corporate job.

It was not easy to step into the world of acting from an ordinary job, but luck favored him. His career started with the TV show Swabhiman. After this, serials like Banegi Apni Baatkoshish and Hu Ba Hu gave him a strong identity in the world of TV.

After TV, Sandhya Mridul turned towards films. After Saathiya, she played the role of an air hostess in Page 3, released in 2005, which was highly appreciated by the critics. He then showed his versatility in films like Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd, Deadline: Just 24 Hours and The Great Indian Butterfly.

Sandhya was not limited to films only. He also worked in TV and web series and left his mark on every platform. His popularity further increased by being the first runner-up in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. She has received many awards and nominations for her hard work and talent, including Best Supporting Actress for Page 3.
