Hyundai Motor India has announced a significant price revision for its popular sub-four-meter SUV, the Venue. Effective immediately in March 2026, select variants of the Hyundai Venue will see a price hike ranging from ₹5,200 to ₹20,000. While this comes as a blow to potential buyers, the company has notably kept the entry-level and top-spec variant prices unchanged to remain competitive.

Variant-Wise Breakdown of the Hike The steepest increase has been applied to the HX5 1.2 Petrol MT variant, which now costs ₹20,000 more, bringing its new ex-showroom price to ₹9.55 lakh.

Turbo-Petrol Models: The HX5 DCT and HX6 DCT variants have become dearer by ₹9,000 each, while the HX8 DCT sees a minor bump of ₹5,200.

Diesel Models: Most mid-tier diesel variants, including the HX2, HX5, and HX7 (Manual & Automatic), have witnessed a uniform hike of ₹8,000.

No Change: Interestingly, the sportier Venue N Line and the high-end HX10 diesel automatic variants remain unaffected by this price revision.

Why the Increase? Although Hyundai hasn’t cited a specific reason for this mid-cycle adjustment, industry experts point towards rising input costs and inflationary pressures. Despite the hike, the Venue continues to be a value-for-money proposition, starting at an attractive ₹7.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Market Competition This price update comes at a time when the compact SUV segment is heating up. The Hyundai Venue continues to face stiff competition from the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, and the recently updated Mahindra XUV 3XO. To stay ahead, the 2026 Venue boasts premium features like Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and dual 12.3-inch curved panoramic displays.
