Bimal Oberoi is trending on social media after he portrayed Shirani Baloch's role in Dhurandhar 2. While he is currently in the spotlight for it, the veteran actor has already been a part of famous Bollywood movies.
In fact, he made his debut in the showbiz with a popular Daler Mehndi song. The actor was a part of the renowned singer's track, Ho Jayegi Balle Balle, which was released in 1997. In an interview with Faridoon Shahryar, Dhurandhar 2 actor Bimal Oberoi reflected on his early association with the famous singer, Daler Mehndi. Calling him a 'friend, brother, and mentor', Oberoi shared that they became friends in the early 90s. When the singer's album Bolo Ta Ra Ra was releasing, he promised the actor that he would take him to Mumbai after the album release. The singer fulfilled his promise.  What happened next? Bimal Oberoi shared, "He gave me 12 cheques of Rs 10,000 each for a year-handed them to me together and said, 'this is your monthly expense, now start your journey.' That is how our association began." Later, during the shoot of Ho Jayegi Balle Balle, something unexpected happened. The actor got an opportunity to make his debut with Daler Mehndi's track. "I had just gone along for the shoot. The directors said there is a part-can we give it to Bimal? Paaji said yes, and it was decided there itself. I ended up playing a main part in the video, and that song became a huge hit," he recalled.
Bimal Oberoi on working with Dhurandhar 2 director Aditya Dhar A few days ago, Bimal Oberoi shared a picture with Dhurandhar 2 director Aditya Dhar. Sharing their picture on Instagram, the actor expressed that the filmmaker personifies 'calmness'. In the caption, he recalled saying that Aditya is the most 'composed person' on Dhurandhar 2' set. Oberoi stated that Dhar's calmness is is his 'real strength'. "People might call you a real-life Dhurandhar… I'll call you what feels closer - Sher-e-Baloch," he added.  Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2 has turned out to be box office juggernaut. It crossed the Rs 1,200 crore mark at the worldwide box office. Within 10 days of its theatrical release, the movie collected
